Evreux/Mechanicsburg, PA, USA.
The issues
Delivery lead time of 2.5 days by air to Mechanicsburg, PA, USA .
Three 4-ton deliveries per week.
High increase in traffic expected.

The action
Reduced transport time; target reached: 21 hours.
Shifted from three 4-ton deliveries per week to five 6-ton deliveries per week.
Stabilized quality of service: objective attained of 99.7% conform and on-time deliveries.
Developed import customs clearance procedures to be completed during flight times.
Developed daily quality monitoring tools.
Reduced costs: savings of 300 keuros.

Mission n°2
Grouping platform in Milan, Italy.
The issues
Semi-finished products and sub-assemblies from Italian suppliers to be integrated into a new product assembly line in the US.
Need for groupage to optimize shipments.
Have products inspected before shipment according to US standards.

The action
Proposed and set up a subcontracted logistics platform in Milan.
Drafted specifications and issued call for tenders and selected forwarder.
Participated in the selection of and trained the subcontractor’s manager.
Developed product quality assurance procedures.
Developed tools to regularly monitor quality of service.

Mission n°3
Logistics organization in China.
The issues
7 plants in Beijing, Shanghaï and Guangzhou, China delivering separately to the same customers.
No transport plan coordination.

The action
Defined a national logistics organization based on three stock locations: Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.
Trained the future local transport manager: Training in the implementation of plant-to-stock and stock-to-stock transport plans.
Training in the implementation of tools for daily quality and cost follow-up.

Mission n°4
Logistics grouping in Thailand.
The issues
Need to group 5 brands in Thailand.
Lack of flexibility in distribution centers in Bangkok.

The action
Participated in the drafting of logistics specifications to select a subcontractor for a single center.
Trained the future local transport manager. Training in the development of a transport plan to customers.
Training in the implementation of tools for daily quality and cost follow-up.

Mission n°5
Order processing center in Jebel Ali, United Arab Emirates.
The issues
Deliveries to Arabian Peninsula customers of 22 days by air.
Over 100 documentary credits issued per year.
86 shipping plants in more than 10 countries.

The action
Proposed and participated in the creation of an order processing center in the customs-free zone in Jebel Ali, UAE, then extended it based on geo-political criteria.
Drafted specifications and issued call for tenders and selected a forwarder.
Participated in the hiring and training of a local transport manager.
Developed triangular transport procedures.
Developed tools for daily quality follow-up.
Reduced documentary credits to 0, without increasing risks.
